“Rain”

Kathy Ray A few years ago Kathy Ray, my amazing Mother-in-law, was diagnosed with recurring breast cancer. She was only given three years and managed to fight her way to year four. By the time I had met her, she and Tristine had just started talking again. They had a pretty strained relationship, to say the least. However, within these few short years I was able to see a strained relationship flourish into a beautiful mother-daughter bond. In that time I too had developed a great bond with her.

Kathy was a strong, independent, stubborn woman who touched everyone in her life with amazing strength, courage, and most importantly love.

Just a few months ago my heart had been ripped in two for compassion for those two amazing women in my life. Tristine and Kathy shared an amazing night together where they bared their hearts and souls forever sealing their amazing new-found bond. This compassion for these two women was the inspiration for this song.

“Rain”

Kathy;

Thank you for loving me, Tristine, Josh, and Tavin. You have always been a force in this world, the strength and power in the room, and an inspiration to many. You had your very own ripple that will echo through the rest of your family’s life. You will be GREATLY missed!

I love you, Kathy!

  1. A very touching song,It drew me back,It reminded me of how much kathy is a beautiful person. She touched my heart as well back when i was a teenager.When i was so lost in my life she stepped up to the plate and gave me not just one ear but both listen to me and gave me advise when i needed it the most and became a stand in mother to me and guided me in the right direction to keep me out of trouble.Kathy went as fair as treating me as if i was one of her own and for that i will always remember and love her for that and will never ever forget what she did for me.To me kathy and tris will always be be family.My pain for tris and kathy is very great and very happy they made a mends.
    THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart love always

  2. Wow! What a touching song. The background music and rain sound effects to go with it were fantastic. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. God be with you.
